How to Draw a God (2018)How to Draw a God is a collection in three parts comprised of twenty-nine poems relating to my studies on the evolution and history and Homo sapiens. Some poems date from as far back as my sophomore year of high school, but I owe my Fall 2018 anthropology and environmental studies courses a lot for their influence on this project. It contains love poems, weird poems, sad poems, family poems, and more weird poems. This collection also includes a number of watercolor and ink illustrations from this semester, most of which I drew while listening to my professors lecture.
This book was published by Grinnell College Press in December 2018. I worked as an editor with Press, so I had the pleasure of laying out my own book and designing my own cover. Two-hundred copies were printed and made available in the Grinnell College mailroom for free. |
